Which affords us some of the longest forage growing seasons in America.

Our Program

We use rotational grazing programs on numerous pastures to maintain single sire herds. Warm season forage production is based on improved Bermuda grass varieties such as Brazos, Tifton 85 and more recently CD90160. In the cool season, we use clover and medics to provide green, protein-rich forage.

As a supplement, we use hay that accumulates between the rows in our citrus orchards, as well as citrus peel and pulp, the by-product of our citrus juice plant. We use automated irrigation systems, including central pivot systems, automatic hose reels, and low-pressure down-flow valve systems to produce year-round forage and reduce dependence on outside labor.

Our Herd

We currently breed 300 females with a broad genetic base obtained through years of purchasing genetics and herds throughout the Americas, as well as artificial insemination and embryo transfer from Simbrah and Simental breeds. We keep meticulous records of maternal qualities with emphasis on weaning weights, milk production, maternal traits, temperament and fertility.

Working with the American Simmental/Simbrah Association, all of our dams have a calving frequency of 400 days or less.
We strive to continually improve our genetics by evaluating the Total Herd Enrollment Program and the DNA Certification Program.
Our cattle are moderate, have good confirmation, they` are color correct and all of our cattle are guaranteed fertile.

In addition, we have long participated in the carcass quality evaluation program, which helps us select sires to produce not only excellent females, but also high quality beef for the consumer. We participate in several Association sanctioned Ranch Alliance Sales each year and are able to offer both open heifers and bred heifers in large quantities, mostly by private contract.
